 Label & Packaging Expo heads
The Label & Packaging Expo, launched in 2019 alongside the PrintEx show in Sydney, will make its debut in Melbourne at the end of September, co-locating with PacPrint 2021 and the Visual Impact Expo at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. Robyn Frampton writes.
AS the first industry expo for close to two years, and the first in the post-pandemic era, the Label & Packaging Expo comes at a time when businesses around the region are looking to review changing customer demands, rebuild to meet the
needs of the post-pandemic market, and reconnect with the people who can help them build success.
Peter Harper, CEO of Visual Connections, the supplier organisa- tion which both organises and co- hosts the event with the Print & Visual Communications Association, says the Label & Packaging Expo provides an ideal opportunity for businesses from Australia, New Zealand and the surrounding region to catch up with the latest international trends, see where the market is heading, and gather important information and ideas to help them capitalise on new opportunities in this new age.
“Change is a constant in our indus- try, but there’s no question that the

“While the label and packaging sector has, by and large, held up relatively well during this period, there have been significant changes which are driving new demands on brands and manufacturers. For businesses in the broader packaging and label sector, this is fast-track- ing demand for more sustainable, convenient and ‘market-focused’

The September show is, in fact, a ‘three-in-one’ event, with the co- location of PacPrint, which show- cases a diverse array of conventional and digital pre-press, print and fin- ishing solutions, and the Visual Impact Expo sign, display, wide- format and textile show.
