IFM BRINGS ADVANCED ENGINEERING TO THE SHOWFLOOR
STAND A175

IFM’S vast product range of innovative, robust and high-quality products for many different industrial applications, and sensor and control solutions for manufacturing, mining and food and beverage, will be on show at AUSPACK 2022.
German engineered and manufactured, the company’s portfolio includes position sensors and object recognition, fluid sensors and diag- nostic systems, networks and identification systems, and control systems and connection technology.
ifm’s O2I500 Multicode Reader is simple to use like a sensor and reliably detects 1D and 2D codes. It delivers reliable reading results even in extremely difficult conditions, reading up to four different codes in milliseconds, which ensures efficient, and high-quality production.
The device has an exchangeable ifm mem- ory stick, and can be used to save or load com- plete configurations of the multicode reader. The integrated optical illumination with polari- sation filter ensures sufficient contrasts to reli- ably detect codes even in the case of shiny sur- faces such as metal.
The LW Radar Level Sensor is the latest sen- sor technology from ifm, which offers precise monitoring of liquid media in tanks of a height of up to 10m, without any blind areas.
Ease of use starts at the beginning with IO- Link enabling installation and parameter set up in just minutes. The non-contact radar measuring principle prevents malfunctions or failures of the sensor caused by the adhesion of viscous media or damage from agitators.
Featuring a stainless- steel housing, food-grade antenna, and seals, the sensor complies with strict hygiene requirements, so that even CIP and SIP processes or the use of spray balls do not impair its proper functioning.
The new IoT-enabled RFID solutions of the DTExx5 series
from ifm, make the implementation of
track and trace sys-
tems simpler and leaner thanks to establishing a direct connection to the IT System.
All units come with an ethernet interface for the bidirectional transfer of information.
Thanks to the concise IoT core visualiser, users can easily access the URL of each data point, which makes integration into their own software application very easy to achieve.
In order to obtain the important information from the shop floor, reliable connection of the sensors to the IT infrastructure is essential.
Moneo, the powerful IIoT platform, effectively bridges the gap between the two worlds, thus enabling an easy entry into digital evolution.
Moneo’s modular concept provides a selection of different, easy-to-handle applications that can be linked together. From sensor parameter set- ting to condition monitoring, Moneo thus offers all the features of a future-proof IIoT software.
HEAT AND CONTROL TO ADVANCE FOOD PROCESSING AT AUSPACK

FOR over 70 years across food industries and applications, Heat and Control’s specialised equipment solutions have set the standard for yield, efficiency and safety, and its latest
machinery malfunction, resulting in revenue decrease thanks to production downtime,” Heat and Control said.
Its solution, the CEIA THS/MS21, is a multi- spectrum metal detector that has a unique detection capability and extreme sensitivity of magnetic, non-magnetic and stainless-steel metal contaminants, and comes in a USDA- approved design.
The machine is suitable for all manner of snack food products, it can detect foreign objects, it operates simply and efficiently at high speeds, and also collects and retains important production run data.
Heat and Control will also have its Diversa- Cut 2110A Dicer on show, which dices, strips, slices, granulates and shreds at high produc- tion capacities.
It is available in three models and offers cost-savings by limiting the need for pre- cutting of products. All models feature high- capacity production capabilities and continu- ous operation for uninterrupted production.
Also, the compact cutting zone, completely separate from the mechanical zone, estab- lishes precision cuts as the product moves throughout the process.

D150 innovations will be on show at this year’s AUSPACK event.
The company offers complete food pro- cessing equipment, product handling, and packaging and inspection lines that feature
integration from start to finish, ensuring full line efficiency and performance.
“Whether you measure success by fla- vour, efficiencies, improvement or innovation, count on us to deliver results. Whatever your product needs, we can meet it with
precision and passion,” the company said. Having a metal detector allows a snack food processor to easily comply with global safety standards, and Heat and Control said choosing the right metal detector is an important choice and should be based
on the type of snack food being run.
“While metal detection in food process- ing is primarily about quality control and consumer protection, it also protects other machinery in the production line because even the smallest metal particle can lead to
