Cooling champions of the world unite
  WINTER IS
OFFICIALLY HERE
WHICH MEANS
IT IS TIME FOR
THE COOLING
CHAMPIONS OF
THE WORLD TO
UNITE AND CELEBRATE WORLD REFRIGERATION DAY.
Sandra Rossi – Editor
TO COMMEMORATE THE 26 June celebration, the World Refrigeration Day (WRD) secretariat is showcasing career opportunities in the refrigera- tion and air conditioning industry.
It has even prepared a series of webinars to dem- onstrate to the world how our industry supports a range of critical operations from food preservation to cooling data centres.
It is up to us to educate the community and raise awareness about the importance of our industry, nobody else will do it for us. It is the only way we can be at the forefront of policy decisions and developments that impact HVACR.
Greater awareness will also help to address the critical skills shortage that continues to impact this industry. CCN is proud to play its part with the launch of NextGen 2021.
This year, CCN has partnered with peak indus- try body the Australian Refrigeration Council to showcase our next generation of RAC technicians.
The search is on for our Top 20 apprentices un- der the age of 25. If you have an outstanding ap- prentice in your workplace make sure they act now as nominations close on 25 June 2021 at www.cli- matecontrolnews.com.au/nextgen
And while we are on the subject of hot topics, we have a great mix of features this issue includ- ing the Heating & Boilers Feature, Renewable Energy & Storage and, of course, our biannual Hot Products showcase, which always generates a lot of interest.
Stay inspired, join the WRD celebrations, and support the next generation of technicians by participating in the NextGen 2021 program. Cooling champions unite!
