TAYLAH GRIFFIN
OF BOEING DEFENCE AUSTRALIA
In 2018 Taylah became the first Indigenous person to graduate with an Honours degree in Electrical and Aerospace Engineering, and the first Indigenous female to
graduate from any Engineering degree at all from QUT. During university, she completed a number of industry internships. Taylah now works as an Engineer within the BDA Air 5077 Phase 5A project Test and Evaluation Team.
ELIZABETH KANEYSON
OF THALES AUSTRALIA

DAISY MURPHY
OF LEIDOS
Daisy is a Program Manager at Leidos Australia and is currently responsible for around 50 projects across the CP Program (ranging in value from $10,000
to $10 million) and manages around 20 staff. Her fresh, agile approach to Project Management
sees a new wave of leadership that is engaging, open and focused on finding solutions that go above and beyond the customers, or projects requirements. Daisy focuses on strategic outcomes of the projects under her leadership and places utmost importance on a ‘people focused’ approach to Project Management.
MICHELLE NORTON
OF THALES AUSTRALIA
After completing high school, Michelle attended the ADFA
to study Engineering on the Defence Civilian Undergraduate Scholarship, graduating with honors. While studying she took park in the New Colombo Plan Scholarship and took
an Engineer Research Internship with Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (Indonesian Institute of Science).
During her degree she completed two work placements in CASG in the Collins class sustainment and Sea 1000 offices.
After university she accepted a role in the Thales Australia Graduate program, working on the Dock Operation and Reticulated Services Contract until May 2019 when she was promoted to Mechanical Engineer in the Engineering Design Office.
SARAH MURPHY
OF THALES AUSTRALIA
Sarah is an electronic trainee at Thales where she is learning her trade in combat systems. She has recently transferred from her work in high voltage engineering and docking operations as part of ship repair services. Sarah strongly believes that complexity
isn’t a vice; that mathematics should be added to the list of national languages and that education is the unparal- leled legacy, the only thing that cannot be taken away.
EMILY DOREY
OF RAN
Emily joined the RAN in 2006. Employed as a Communications Information Systems sailor, Emily has served in multiple ships and localities around Australia. She has undertaken active service in the Middle East region and conducted border protection operations.
Emily currently resides on the Mornington Peninsular with her partner and twin daughters.
