Spirit. Light fills the crest of a wave as it breaks below a distant, natural phenomenon. “This moment was the result of many years of patience, persistence, and some good, old-fashioned luck.

Fingal Fires. A combination of black swans in smoke taken at St Helens, Tasmania, combined with firefighting at the Fingal Fires which was causing this smoke. The Fingal Fires went on to burn approximately 20,000 hectares and threatened Ben Lomond National Park as well as Fingal township itself.
