A smart approach
to air conditioning
THE AIR CONDITIONING MARKET IS CONSTANTLY EVOLVING.
MAIN: The smart App delivers seamless control of airflow direction, fan speed and room temperature.
LEFT: Comfort Cloud App can be used anywhere.
The Panasonic Comfort Cloud securely stores these insights and data, which is presented in a functional and powerful graph.
These insights can then be utilised in conjunction with Panasonic’s ECONAVI energy saving technology to understand the times when the system should be switched on or off via the weekly timer function, ultimately alleviating energy consumption and impact on the hip-pocket.
The Comfort Cloud App also considers the specific needs of consumers, allowing each family member to control the room temperature in all spaces throughout the home whether that be the living room, home gym or the home office.
This smart feature ensures that each room is appropriately set up for its purpose. For example, some may prefer a cooler climate in the home gym, in comparison to the living spaces. The application also allows users to remotely pre- cool or pre-warm a room for those who are returning after an outing or starting the day.
Finally, to avoid disruption and inconvenience, the Comfort Cloud App also displays error code notifications, allowing consumers to quickly and easily check if any faults have occurred with their air conditioner.
The Comfort Cloud App can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google Play Store. Users can log in through a simple set-up process and follow the instructions to get started.
As well as the safety measures for worst-case scenarios, homeowners can manage fire safety on a day-to-day basis by checking the alarm is online, its current battery status and testing reminders, through the Wiser by SE app.
LARGE TECHNOLOGICAL STRIDES are enhancing the comfort, efficiency and ease of use for consumers who are beginning to prioritise solutions that adapt and interact with other devices in their ‘smart homes’.
Panasonic’s latest range of innovative Air Conditioning solutions are purpose-built to fit seamlessly into the existing smart home, drawing on years of experience and know-how.
Panasonic’s Air Conditioning WLAN Smart Adaptor and Comfort Cloud App revolutionises the use, monitoring and management of air conditioners and their energy consumption.
The application is a smarter way for consumers to control their Panasonic Air Conditioning units anywhere, anytime.
With the Panasonic Comfort Cloud App, consumers can now manage every function of their air conditioning system. The smart App delivers seamless control of airflow direction,
fan speed, room temperature and the ability to switch between specific heating or cooling modes. Additional functions managed through the App include an all on/off control, which allows consumers to turn multiple units on or off with just one click from anywhere.
With flexibility and convenience front of mind, the Comfort Cloud App also allows consumers to set weekly timers for their air conditioning to be switched on or off. Consumers can set up to six ‘events’ per day, or 42 times per week, ensuring the air conditioning system automatically switches on/off at a specific time.
This could be in the middle of the night when the outside temperate is cooler, or in the morning when the air temperature begins to warm.
As consumers become more conscious of their spending, the Comfort Cloud App also provides the ability to reduce energy consumption by always monitoring air conditioning usage.
Get wise about fire safety
CLIPSAL BY SCHNEIDER Electric (Clipsal) has launched the new Wiser Smart smoke alarm. Now available in Australia, the new smoke alarm will give renovators added peace of mind and allow electricians and builders to be at the forefront
of both smart home capabilities and safety.
The smoke alarms can be used alone, interconnected wirelessly with other Wiser or Fire Tek smoke alarms or as part of a Wiser smart home system, creating an enhanced
warning procedure.
In case of emergencies, homeowners will be notified if smoke is detected through the Wiser by SE app, even if they are away from the home.
Wiser automations can also be programmed to trigger connected lights to turn on and illuminate a path to a doorway at night if smoke is detected, helping ensure maximum time for safe evacuation. New dual spectrum photoelectric smoke-sensing technology also helps to mitigate false alarms for added confidence.
