 VENTIA WINS MANAGEMENT CONTRACT FOR WA MARINE FACILITY
VENTIA Australia will take on the role of Operator and Facilities Manager for the Common User Facility (CUF) at the Australian Marine Complex (AMC) in Henderson, Western Australia.
The contract has an initial term of five years plus up to two extensions of five years each. Operations for the contract will commence in July 2022.
At the heart of the Australian Marine Complex, the CUF is key to the growth of naval work, to providing ongoing support for the defence and resource sector along with other major projects.
The contract includes 24-hour day to day operation and management of the AMC-CUF, including business devel- opment and marketing services, asset management services, facility manage- ment services and operator services.

and transfer system, specialised load out wharves, extensive lay- down and assembly ar- eas and several large fabrication halls.

maritime infrastructure and strategic asset management space. He is support- ed by the wider Ventia business, bring- ing extensive connections within the defence, maritime and resource sectors.

    THOMAS GLOBAL TO DELIVER M1A2 SEPV3 ABRAMS TACTICAL TRAINING SYSTEM
THOMAS Global Systems has been se- lected as the Prime System Integrator for the Australian Army’s M1A2 Abrams Im- mersive Tactical Trainer (ITT), support- ing the acquisition of 75 M1A2 Abrams System Enhancement Program Version 3 (SEPv3) Main Battle Tanks (MBT).
Thomas Global Systems will estab- lish a new advanced manufacturing
facility in Newington, NSW, to deliv- er 16 Immersive Tactical Trainers. In addition to the acquisition contract announced, Thomas Global Systems has signed a separate comprehensive Support Contract to provide ongoing sustainment and support services of the delivered systems, bringing total program value to approximately
$50 million.
Once complete, the
12 containerised ITTs will be deployed to de- fence bases throughout

Australia, along with four classrooms to be permanently established at the Armoured Vehicle Simulation Site lo- cated at Puckapunyal, Victoria.

This contract will enable Thomas Global Systems to further develop its sovereign design and manufacturing capability in complex immersive training systems, in Australia,” Thomas Global’s Managing Director of Defence Australia, Andrew Hutchinson said.
“This investment leverages Thom- as Global Systems’ existing techni- cal capabilities, and will also create or support 65 highly skilled design and engineering jobs throughout the supply chain.”
