DEFENCE IN VICTORIA
Victoria sees $8.4 billion of defence spending annually, with 36,600 peo- ple working across 6,300 business working in the supply chain. With a focus on vehicles and manufacturing, Victoria has a vibrant defence com- munity from universities, Primes and SMEs along with uniformed and APS personnel.
The Victorian Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions is responsible for defence industry investment sup- port and trade facilitation. It promotes Victorian defence capabilities to the Commonwealth, Australian and in- ternational prime contractors and the broader market.
