Riding a décor wave
Stick on Signs is bringing Dimense into Australia, the embossed print system that the company says offers printers the opportunity
to join the personalised décor boom.
Dimense is a one pass digital textured wall covering printer,
now available in ANZ through Stick on Signs
distribution channels. It is aimed at printers looking to add a high margin revenue stream to their business, by engaging with the high value home and office personalised décor trend.
Abe Weiszberger, managing director of Stick on Signs, says, “Dimense combines the best of digital printing – vivid images,
lively colours, customisation – with textured wallpapers – physical structures, repeating patterns – to deliver fully customised, textured 3D effect prints, that visually transform any interior space.”
Dimense uses water based latex eco-friendly inks and PVC-free structure-forming media that the company says renders a durable output. It will print at up to 20 sqm an hour, with a print width of 1.6m.
It prints onto a proprietary PVC- free structure-forming media, with the reaction between a foam layer on the media and the special ink creating the embossed structure. Embossed effects up to 1mm or
up to 1.5mm high can be created.

dedicated device. It uses reliable wide-format inkjet technology
for the print and its costs are comparable to standard wide format printing, due to effective structuring technology.
For print business owners Dimense offers an all in one solution to
what for many will be a new area. Weiszbeger says, “The Dimense system is a complete package offering a printer, ink system, media, training, technical and design support.
“This system caters to those seeking to add another dimension to their value proposition, delivering next level. Dimense technology
can be applied in many areas or industries. It is a great tool for production of interior décor products like colourful wallcoverings, paintable 3D digital decors or printing of canvas replicas. Dimense technology removes the limitations of digital printing, and significantly increases variety of effects. It opens a new dimension in digital print, enabling you to create even more impressive designs.”
Weiszberger says many marketing or advertising materials such as posters, shelf stoppers, packaging,
decorations for store windows or roll-ups will take up a new shape. “This technology is versatile and
unpredictably can be used in many different industries. The digital concrete application is a
great example,” he says.
A certificate from eco-Institut, issued in Koln, Germany, confirms that Dimense print is eco-friendly and does not contain any harmful components: it is PVC-free, plasticisers-free, and phthalates-free.
Weiszberger says, “Interior designers always have been facing a huge challenge – how to implement the amazing visual idea in life? The necessity to select suitable tools
for the execution of ideas brings new challenge for the designers. Technological limitations or lack
of tools often restrict great ideas from being implemented. The new 3D wide format digital printing technology Dimense is a great tool to implement the bravest of design ideas. Dimense technology removes the limitations of digital printing and significantly increases variety of effects. It opens a new dimension in digital print, enabling impressive designs.” 21
