◆ 1960s – A North American presence is firmly established as the US food industry realises the advantage of innovative processing lines that will meet increasing consumer demand for french fry, snack and prepared foods. The company continues to invest in product devel- opment and innovation, including pioneering the patented continuous, externally heated fryer system.
◆ 1970s – A focus on product innovation and development, with increased emphasis on design and manufacture of complete pro- cessing systems for snacks and prepared food products. During this decade the com- pany invents the MPO Cooking System®, multipurpose oven.
◆ 1980s – A decade of tremendous growth that starts with the formation of a strategic part- nership with Ishida – inventor and world- leader in weighing technologies. Australian operation is established – the company’s Brisbane site is originally Greer Australia, owned by the MacDonald family and estab- lished in 1967. The Caridis family acquired Greer as the existing organisation and manu- facturing facility closely aligned to their own
US business, and this allowed a seamless transition of ownership and continuous opera- tion. They expand their global presence, setting up regional locations including Asia Pacific, Europe, and Latin America with sales, service and manufacturing locations established in Australia, Scotland, and Mexico.
◆ 1990s – The company debuts the FastBack® horizontal motion conveyor which revolution- ises food industry conveyor standards with its slow forward, fast back horizontal movement. The FastBack also links the processing and packaging elements of the company’s product catalogue and offers conveyors for accumula- tion, blending, and proportional feed. Heat and Control also manages to pioneer moving sea- soning from the production to the packing hall with the FastBack On-Machine Seasoning System (OMS).
◆ 2004 – A full capability factory is estab- lished in Nanjing, China.
◆ 2005 – Expansion of inspection capabilities to include metal detection. A strategic part- nership is formed with world leader in metal detection technologies, CEIA.
◆ 2009 – Dedicated food processing training & technical center ‘CENTEC’ is opened in Guadalajara, Mexico.
◆ 2010s – Growth and investment continues throughout this decade. In 2011 the com- pany makes two acquisitions: first is Flavorite Technologies, India to increase

support for the fast-growing Indian savoury snack industry, and second, Spray Dynamics, USA to expand their coating and seasoning system catalogue.
