Looking at the exhibitor list, visitors will have the chance to explore a wide range of technologies, from software and workflow, to digital cut-sheet, offset and other imaging solutions, dye-sublimation and wide-format output devices, label and packaging solutions, engraving and routing technologies, laser- cutting and finishing, textile and direct-to-garment printing, media and substrates, and even leasing and finance.
Opportunity
“PacPrint, Visual Impact and the Label & Packaging Expo provide an opportunity for businesses from
all facets of the sector to view a
huge range of solutions and – most importantly – to speak to the experts about how those solutions can be implemented to suit their own specific business situation,” Harper says.
“The ability to see systems and equipment in action, touch and
feel printed products, media and consumables in person, and discuss a wide range of services and supports, all in one convenient location, delivers enormous value for the investment of time and resources
it takes to attend.”
Having said that, Harper acknowledges that some visitors will gain more value than others. The difference, he says, comes down to planning.

“We’ve been holding industry expos for some 40 years, and feedback from previous shows clearly demonstrates that planning and preparation beforehand pays enormous dividends in terms of what you take away from PacPrint,” Harper says.
“If you’re considering attending, firstly check out the Visitor Information section on the
PacPrint website to access resources including online registration details, accommodation deals, practical parking, public transport and
Covid policy information, as well as information on local dining and activities in Melbourne if you are visiting from elsewhere.”

to understanding legislation, optimising business planning and looking after your mental health.
Print21 Preview
You can check what some of this year’s exhibitors have planned in this special PacPrint Preview, and read about the Forums too.
“The PacPrint Forums are a
great source of information and inspiration, and an important complement to the exhibition itself as they help to spark ideas and
put the showcase into context,” Harper says, advising that setting a reminder or alarm to alert you to the start time of sessions of interest is also good advice.
As well as the above, perhaps
one of the most valuable aspects of PacPrint is the chance to reconnect with industry friends and colleagues, and there’s never been a more welcome time to do so.
As well as meeting in the aisles, plenty of networking opportunities are planned starting with the 2022 ASGA HP National Sign & Graphics Awards, the premier event in the sign industry, which will be held
on Tuesday 28 June at The Aviary at Crown Melbourne, just a stone’s throw from the MCEC.
On the evening of Wednesday 29 June, the show will stay open until 8pm, so businesses who find it difficult to get away during a normal business day can attend the event. With drinks available on the show floor and all stands in full operation, it’s sure to be both a valuable and convivial event
for all those who can come in, or stay on, and the following morning the industry’s women will gather for the Women in Print Breakfast, which
is always a fantastic opportunity to gather, learn and share knowledge.
National Print Awards
Thursday 30 June is the end of the Australian financial year, and is expected to see a flurry of orders signed on the show floor. That night, it will be all about celebration as the industry’s most coveted accolades are presented at the 39th National Print Awards Dinner, to be held at the Goldfields Theatre at the MCEC.
PacPrint will co-locate with Visual Impact Melbourne and the Label & Packaging Expo at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from 28 June to 1 July. 21

Building sufficient time into your programme to get around
the exhibition and check for other things of interest is also important, he says – because ‘you don’t know what you don’t know’ – while reviewing the Forum Programme to see what seminar sessions will be of interest, and making time for those in your calendar, is also vital.
This year, the programme includes keynote addresses, expert sessions
