Without a doubt the industry highlight for June, it’s no exaggeration to describe it as a trade show with a difference.
Established last year by Susman (Fishtales) and Olsson (Olsson’s Salt), LollaProducer is
a not-for-profit exhibition armed with the philosophy that food is ‘part of our culture, environment and future’. As such, it’s dedicated to connecting Aussie chefs and operators with local, ethical and sustainable producers.
A near 60 exhibitors were involved in
the show, filling one of the halls at Sydney’s Carriageworks with wares, goods and workshops. Cleverly divided into such sections as ‘Meat Alley’, ‘Lollalactose’ and ‘Wet Market’, it was great to have the opportunity to stop and chat with exhibitors and experts about their produce and to hear the stories behind their varied and dynamic businesses.
If you missed out last month, mark it in your diary for next year.
