   Professional problem solvers
GET COMFORTABLE AND PREPARE FOR A GREAT READ.
Sandra Rossi – Editor
THIS ISSUE OF the magazine tackles an incredi- bly broad range of topics thanks to our talented readers and contributors who share their knowl- edge within these pages.
This month CCN gets to showcase an industry overflowing with both technical expertise and in- novative prowess.
After being locked in a COVID stupor for so long it feels like everyone is returning to the real world with an abundance of energy and enthusiasm.
Topics in this issue range from building automa- tion trends to customised heat exchangers and HVAC vibration issues.
This month’s case study profiles one of Austral- ia’s largest fruit growers, Montague, which has just built an impressive facility in Narre Warren North, Victoria.
The $66 million site takes thermal efficiency to the next level with Glaciem Cooling providing the
refrigeration and heating units in a combined package, to work alongside the ammonia refrigera- tion systems.
The case study is an example of why I call HVACR an industry of professional problem solvers.
Moving on to the building services feature there is a detailed study of active chilled beam systems, which are certainly growing in popularity.
Plus, this month’s product focus is all about good vibrations. As we know HVAC systems con- sist of many components that can cause unwanted vibrations. This article looks at how elastic bear- ings can make a difference.
On a more celebratory note, time is running out to nominate for the HVACR Leadership Awards. Elevating our industry for all to see is important, that was certainly made clear last month during World Refrigeration Day celebrations.
Take a break from solving problems and cele- brate. To nominate go to www.climatecontrol- news.com.au/awards ✺
