Avon Graphics acquires Lorimier

Pakko launches instant quote system
Recent Telstra Best of Business Awards winner Pakko has created its New Quote System for immediate access to packaging order quotes, aiming to bring back work currently going overseas.
The Pakko New Quote System allows its customers to design and order custom packaging online. Designed to deliver across multiple levels of business productivity and efficiency, the Interactive Design Platform system provides an immediate quote, directly to a customer’s inbox.

Specialist trade supplier Avon Graphics has acquired Lorimier in
a move that will bring
more than 200 years of history under one brand.
Tate Hone, managing director at Avon Graphics, said both parties were delighted with the deal, which was done in a “professional” manner. The acquisition was completed on 31 October.
“Lorimier is a respected Melbourne-based specialist in foil stamping and embossing, and we have always held them in high regard as a professional, well-run business – and a worthy competitor,” Hone
said. “The company has an exceptionally long history in the Victorian marketplace, having been in continuous operation ever since its inception in 1876, and they have an enviable reputation for quality, creativity and service.”
Initial discussions between Hone and Peter Johnston,
owner and managing director of Lorimier, were straightforward, open and positive, Hone reports, with both agreeing that the acquisition of Lorimier by the family-owned and operated Avon

in the trade supply market place, and that provided a sound basis for productive discussions, which resulted very quickly in

Avon is widely regarded as Australia’s leading specialist print trade supplier and embellishment company, with more than 80 staff across locations in Melbourne, Sydney
and Brisbane. With services covering foil stamping and embossing, cutting, coatings, verkotype and glitter, security printing and specialty prepress, as well as large-format print, the business offers a range of options to “enhance the artistry of print”.
Lorimier has a similar approach, with services including foil stamping and embossing, laminating and celloglazing, varnishing, forme cutting, strutting and mounting, and pattern gluing, as well as embellishment of leather goods and promotional products. 21

    NE-Bisglobal celebrates Naidoc week
    aidoc Week was celebrated at NSW Central Coast printer E-Bisglobal with 90
attendees at the head office in Tuggerah, with the site set up with both the Australian and Aboriginal flags in flight, and a stage for entertainment.
The event was attended by Tim Selwyn from Girri Girra Aboriginal Experiences; David Harris, member for Wyong and shadow minister for Aboriginal Affairs; Adam Crouch, member for Terrigal; Bara Barang Corporation’s Andrew Malloch and Chris Thew; Deb Barwick, NSW CEO of NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce; along with E-Bisglobal staff, clients, suppliers and business partners.

 Stand Up! Show Up!, the event kicked off with Sean Havard, company CEO, welcoming guests, and providing a brief background to guests on the company’s Aboriginal heritage.
He also gave a brief outline of the procurement services they provide to government and public business sectors, as well
as its partnership with Bara Barang Corporation.
Selwyn then performed the Acknowledgement to Country and Smoking Ceremony, before explaining the significance and provided guidance to the ritual to those in attendance.
