Looking for the good
IF you spend any time listening, watching, or reading the news, it is a pretty quick slide to despair. Apart from turning it off, quite tricky to do in this job, I keep returning to the mantra, ‘look for the good’. And that is what we have strived to bring you this issue.
I have interviewed Cameron Scadding, the founder and CEO of Source Certain a couple of times and his passion, thoughtfulness, and frank explanations are as
refreshing as they are educative. Scadding was approached by the UK government to help secure supply chain integrity and transparency for Ukrainian crops. Read all about it
on page 16.
When the Accolade Wines sales and marketing team pitched a no alc Hardys brand wine to winemaker Paul Burnett, he was not as excited about the idea as they
were. Burnett is now Accolades ZERO lead winemaker, so you would be correct in guessing he had a change of heart. On page 26, he tells us about what it takes to make a no alc wine that tastes good.
In her second article for Food & Drink Business, Dr Anneline Padayachee, explains how we are moving into the fourth major era of food processing, Food 4.0, and what that will look like. That’s on page 40.
‘Look for the good’.
