API is involved with and intends to participate in the major effort to build Australian content for CIRCOR equip- ment for both the Sea 1000 and Sea 5000 projects.
“Right now our focus is on supporting the new DDG vessels and working with En- gie Axima in their major contribution to the Anzac PSR program,” Hales confirmed. ■
 A NEW series of agreements with CIRCOR have been signed by Australian Pump In- dustries. The two companies have worked together in the promotion and distribution of the CIRCOR Defence pumps package over the last decade.
The equipment includes IMO and All- weiler pumps, Warren Pumps from the USA and Portland Valve products also from CIRCOR’s US operations.
The enhanced agreements acknowledge the high level of representation provided by Australian Pump over past decades as well as the ability to service and support that equipment. API has successfully supplied a wide range of CIRCOR IMO Allweiler products for a series of impor- tant Defence platforms. These include Australia’s DDG Hobart Class Destroy- ers and more recently, the Arafura Class OPV project.
“API has successfully worked with key OEMs on supplying CIRCOR Allweiler pumps for the Anzac PSR project and continue to supply service and support for Collins Class IMO pumps,” Aussie Pumps’ Chief Engineer, John Hales said.
“The new agreements not only nomi- nate Australian Pump with responsibil- ity for sole distribution of the products for Defence in Australia,
but also include a Repre- sentative Agreement and a nomination as the Sole Authorised Repair Sta- tion in Australia for this equipment,” Hales said. “We have been acting as Service Station for IMO pumps for the Department of Defence for the last 20 years. We started with the
