Site expansion for Chobani
Chobani has partnered with property developer Aliro to double the footprint of its Victorian site to 21,000 square metres.

THE Dandenong South site will create additional warehousing and production space, enabling Chobani to increase its manufacturing space. Demolition has begun at the new site, which backs onto Chobani’s existing production site on Hammond Road.
Production, logistics operations and offices from Chobani’s existing four sites will now be consolidated into one. The company will also install a new pilot plant to “enhance its current research and development capabilities”.
“Dandenong South has been our home since day one, so we
are really excited that we will continue to be a part of this thriving local manufacturing hub and give back to the local community in which we operate,” said Chobani Australia managing director Lyn Radford.
“Manufacturing is vitally important to the Australian economy and, as Chobani transitions into a modern food company and expands beyond the dairy category, we are committed to not only growing our own business operations but also helping to strengthen the industry and make it more resilient.”
In November, Chobani was the winner of the 2020 APCO Industry Sector: Food & Beverage award, based on Chobani’s internal Sustainable Packaging Roadmap that consciously considers the Sustainable Packaging
Guidelines and the 2025 National Packaging Targets.
Chobani was also a new entrant to the annual Top 100 Food & Drink Companies report in 2020, ranking at #95.
The expanded site is expected to be completed by May 2022. ✷
