Print21 highlights the leading inkjet print systems being developed for corrugated printing.
Barberan Jetmaster
Printing 80 metres of corrugated a minute in four-colour. The Spain- based Barberan has been producing printers for half a century across multiple applications.
Bobst Mouvent
Bobst was working on a system with Kodak Prosper, but is now focused on its own Mouvent digital printer. Lots of experience in corrugated, and in litho lamination.
Domino X630i
Inkjet head expert combines with Sun Automation to produce the X630i, printing 600x600dpi at 75metres a minute. Maximum sheet size is 1.6x3m. Translates to 4500 900x1500mm sheets an hour.
Durst Delta SPC 130
Can be configured with up to six colour rows and has a maximum printing width of 1285mm. Any length of corrugated cardboard
or paper media of up to 12 mm in thickness can be printed – with a resolution of up to 800 dpi, and at a print speed of 9350sqm an hour.
EFI Nozomi
C18000 Plus
Already in the field, has four-level grayscale with resolution up to 360x720 dpi, can print CMYK, CMYK+W, CMYKOV, CMYKOV+W configurations, at up to 75 linear m/ min, producing 7,224sqm an hour with a maximum 1.8x3m sheet size.
HP Pagewide C500
Its water-based inks are 100 per
cent free of UV-reactive chemistries, meaning inks enable robust and trusted food-safe printing for both primary and secondary corrugated packaging, requiring no additional barriers.

Hanway Hanglory
Supplied by Kissel + Wolf, the Hanglory systems come in two versions. The Glory 2504 single
pass has a maximum print width
of 2,160mm and will produce up to 17,773 sqm an hour with end-to- end workflow integration of board printing, slotting and stacking. The smaller Glory 1604 printing speed is up to 150m a minute, and printing resolution is up to 600x1200dpi.
It can be upgraded to six-colour printing with CMYK + two colours.
HP Koenig & Bauer
T11000S
The gigantic inkjet web press with a web width of 2.8m has been around for four years now. It will produce at 183m a minute, which is 30,000sqm an hour in water–based CMYK.

Corrujet 170
The first fruits of the new joint venture operates with a maximum production speed of 6000 sheets
per hour and can process corrugated board up to a thickness of 8mm. It post-prints sheets of corrugated up to 1.7m wide, at up to 137m per min, using water-based, food-safe inks.
New Solution Multi LG
Built for extra short runs, the flatbed five-colour (CMYKK) NS Multi LG features a 1200mm media width, a 1066mm print area, print speeds of up to 300mm per second, and a resolution of up to 1600 x 1600 dpi. A single- pass print head colour inkjet printer incorporating Memjet technology, the NS Multi LG enables fast print speeds at high quality and low cost.
Screen BHS
The two companies have been working since 2016 to develop a water-based inkjet printing solution capable of delivering high-speed throughput of 300 meters per minute at widths of up to 2.8 meters. They say the addition of water-based inkjet, in full colour, will open up new markets that currently depend on pre-printed liner and lamination.
Xeikon Idera
This press uses certified food-safe water-based inks on coated and uncoated corrugated sheets up to 1.6x2.8m at up to 150 linear m/min. Xeikon leveraged the expertise of parent company Flint, the world’s largest ink manufacturer, in the development of Idera. 21
