Melbourne Museum of Print seeking urgent funding
The embattled Melbourne Museum of Print (MMoP) is seeking a benefactor willing to inject $200,000 into the project, in order to help
it stave off eviction from its current premises.
The lifelong labour of love of Michael Isaachsen has reached an impasse with its current landlord, who has threatened to empty the building of all the contents if the funds aren’t forthcoming. 21

Hundreds of print professionals from around the world,
including a sizeable number from Australia and New Zealand, were in Israel, at the HP Indigo VIP customer event Better Together (see pp52-53).
HP Indigo was touring guests around its burgeoning manufacturing plants, sharing the latest technological developments, and showing the full range of its presses, which
now includes commercial, labels, flexibles and folding carton printers.
The company is now one of the biggest manufacturing businesses in Israel, and one of the biggest capital goods exporters. Its presses printed 85 billion pages last year, a record amount.

It was the first such event
by the company since 2019, with Covid stopping the 2020 pre-drupa event just two weeks before it was due, and no event last year because of restrictions.
It wasn’t all technology, with HP and local supplier Currie Group taking printers on tours of the Holy City of Jerusalem, and to Jaffa Old Town. 21
