AREAS OF INTEREST IN DEFENCE
Lendlease is proud to be delivering key infrastructure projects across Australia for the Department of Defence. Our enduring
aim is to plan, design, construct and commission the best possible facilities for Defence to train, maintain and manage its capability. Current Lendlease projects involve works for Army, Navy and Airforce. These include works for a number of national Defence projects - New Air Combat Capability, Land 121 and the Air Traffic Control Tower works and involve both Managing Contractor and Head Contractor projects.
The scope includes building works, infrastructure works, aircraft pavements, fuel services, remediation services and ICT works. Projects are being undertaken across Australia. As part of the delivery of the works, we are very conscious of the need to create opportunities for locally based contractors.
Our vision for reconciliation remains one that drives all Lendlease employees to acknowledge and celebrate the proud heritage of Australia’s First Peoples. It also promotes opportunities for career development, sustainable business growth and economic participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians across all our projects, including those with Defence.
Our RAP has achieved ‘Elevate' status; the highest level to be awarded by Reconciliation Australia; demonstrating our commitment to the participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities around Australia.
