MARITIME:
Babcock is the largest Defence engineering and sustainment provider to within Australia and NZ supporting the entire RNZN, and RAN Collins, Anzac and LHD platforms. We work closely with RAN/RNZN to improve efficiency and increase service availability of the submarine and surface ship fleets to meet operational needs. Babcock also provides key systems and equipment, including the sustainment and training packages to optimise performance through life.
Key activities include: base porting, refitting, refuelling and decommissioning submarines • maintaining and refitting warships • building the next generation aircraft carriers • naval base management • providing equipment design, build, support and training.
LAND & TRAINING:
Babcock’s innovative asset management programs provide flexible information systems and asset lifecycle management solutions to create operational and financial efficiencies, as well as delivering enhanced capability. Our data management services include a telematics and information systems portal that allows customers to remotely review a full range of tools and reports, such as contract SLA’s, availability and maintenance costs at any time of the day. Babcock delivers core asset management services across the Defence, Emergency Services and Commercial sectors. An example of fleet management is Babcock’s work as the appointed service provider for ADF GSE and C-CBRNE. Our role includes providing life cycle planning, fleet scheduling, management and line maintenance
to over 80,000 vehicles worldwide including 13,000 in Australasia ensuring they are available to meet our client’s operational needs. Each year we also provide world class instruction and support to over 21,000 personnel across Defence training establishments. Not only do we offer services spanning the entire training spectrum, we also manage the training environment and continually innovate and transform operations.
AVIATION:
Within Australasia, Babcock has more than 25 years’ experience in providing mission-critical helicopter support for a range of services including Emergency Medical (EMS), Search and Rescue (SAR), surveillance operations, law enforcement, aerial work and Marine Pilot Transfer (MPT). We provide these services to a diverse range of clients including Federal and State Governments and private sector companies.
