MESSAGE FROM WORLDSKILLS AUSTRALIA GENERAL MANAGER, BRIGITTE COLLINS
NextGen is a fantastic initiative that WorldSkills Australia are proud to support to encourage more talent to look at Refrigeration and Air Conditioning as a fantastic career pathway.
The WorldSkills Australia program creates a “medal-winning” mindset through training towards essential skills not just for competition but also for the workplace.
We believe in accelerating young people in the start-up phase of their careers by championing their success and accelerating their personal and professional development.
We encourage a skills culture through all our partnerships where excellence is celebrated, empowering Australia’s youth to become successful global citizens.
A huge congratulations to the top 20 under 25 that have showcased excellence within the RAC industry contributing to a much better performance in their workplace. As Australia reopens for business, our skilled workers have never been more important.
WorldSkills Australia is looking forward to the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning National Championships being showcased at ARBS in 2021 and celebrating our next Champions!

WorldSkills is an organisation that has built a movement around changing the lives of young people through skills.
Together we created our first annual Top 20 technicians un- der 25 years of age.
These technicians, male and female, come from diverse backgrounds, and represent every part of Australia. Thanks to everyone that participated and special thanks to the champi- ons in these pages.
This is why CCN has partnered with WorldSkills
   DAIKIN MARKETING MANAGER, DAN TOSH.
On behalf of Daikin, it is our pleasure to be able to support CCN & WorldSkills Australia with sponsoring the NextGen program.
The HVAC industry is ever-evolving and has a large role to play in producing efficient and healthy spaces in the built environment. This drives innovation and the development of new technologies and in turn places pressure on ensuring our labour force continues to be sufficiently skilled.
It is critical for our industry to remain committed to the development of technical capability and ensuring the knowledge transfer between the more experienced professionals and the younger generation.
Finally, congratulations to the ‘Top 20 technicians under 25’ finalists, your achievements have set an example for your generation.
