want to avoid increases in the weight of their kit, so the pouch had to be highly functional yet add no addition- al weight.
A High Commendation was award- ed to the Grape N’Go 100 per cent re- cyclable PET-based resealable Fresh Lid by Result Packaging. The Grape N’ Go product is packed with con- trolled atmosphere in the punnet. The structure of the Fresh Lid has two laminated layers with perforated laser holes on the surface of the lid to allow for optimal O2 permeability.
These non-visible-to-the eye-holes allow for product respiration and support an extended shelf life. Grape N’ Go’s reclosable lidding employs a special, uncured adhesive layer that is exposed when the consumer first opens the multilayered reclosable lid. Once exposed, the layer main- tains its adhesive properties for up to 20 uses, even under challenging cold conditions of refrigerated storage.
The food category’s Machinery & Equipment winner was Scott LEAP
Suite of Technologies’ fully-integrat- ed lamb processing system devel- oped by Scott Automation & Robot- ics, in conjunction with Silverfern Farms and Meat & Livestock Austra- lia (MLA).
A MORE PRECISE POUR
“Continuous pour” and “anti-glug” are two of the features of the winner in the Domestic & Household category.
The Materials & Packaging winner is Precise Pour for continuous pour, anti-clog and tamper-evidence by Caps and Closures.
The Precise Pour Cap is designed to be used on bottles ranging from 500ml up to 25L to dispense liquid, and is tamper-evident.
It has many advantages including continuous pour, anti-glug, low height for stacking bottles, opting for venting, and knock-resistant.
This product is designed to re- place any tap that requires the cus- tomer to puncture the bottle and any tap that is designed to be sold as an additional component.
A High Commendation was award- ed to Animal Instinct’s Feed My Fur Baby by OJI Fibre Solutions easy-to- open, re-sealable corrugated solution with scoop.
The second scoop (spare) hidden in the box design is a clever
use of otherwise unused
board. The simple flexo-
graphic one-colour print does a great job in pro- viding ‘point of differ- ence’ for the product, and

keeps it clean and easy to read. Feed My Fur Baby is a creative and func- tional design that moves away from traditional bags widely used in the pet food market segment. The inclu- sion of a corrugated scoop also elimi- nates the need for a plastic scoop.
ACCESSIBLE FLIP-CAP CLOSURE
A closure which celebrates accessi- ble design was the clear Materials & Packaging winner in the Health, Beauty & Wellness category.
The 63mm flip-cap closure with ring-peel induction seal liner by West Wadding, is “all about accessible de- sign”, and is patented and manufac- tured in Australia.
Through the design of the flip-cap closure and its seamless integration with a ring-peel seal liner, West Wadding has created a packaging solution that provides a positive con- sumer experience. The closure is easy to open while also providing product protection and tamper evi- dence. West Wadding has actively sought to eliminate the frustration
