exciting new opportunities for your business.”
That brings us to number five in the Top Ten – the chance to get new ideas and inspiration for the future of your business and, somewhat related, the chance to learn from seminars and forum sessions which comes in at six.
“It’s often said that innovation happens at the intersection of ideas, and a trade show is tailor made to create those intersections,” Harper says.
“By exploring and comparing
a wide range of solutions in
one, convenient location, while simultaneously being able to gather information from product experts and be inspired by the ideas, viewpoints and experience of forum presenters, visitors are able to put what they are seeing on the show floor into proper context.”
This year, the PacPrint Forum programme will be typically diverse, covering general business principles, strategies and ideas from thought leaders and sector experts, as well
as insights from industry insiders. This will be complemented by more specific sessions on particular products, processes and technologies, designed to bring visitors up to date with the latest trends and solutions across the entire print, sign,
display, label and packaging sector. The revised forum programme is currently being finalised and will be available online at www.pacprint. com.au closer to the show.

environment which is custom- designed to bring suppliers and businesses together. By connecting with the experts, visitors not only gain a better understanding of technologies and solutions, but how those solutions might work in their specific business situation. Again, the result is better investment decisions and, often, a significant price advantage.
Reviewing the Top Ten, variations
of this theme come through in reasons seven, nine and ten on the list, with visitors reporting that they attend the shows to find the solutions to specific challenges in their businesses, but come prepared to make purchasing decisions and place orders. With the opportunity to take advantage of show deals,
which are often quite substantial, it’s a compelling rationale for anyone looking to invest in their business future.
“PacPrint, together with Visual Impact and the Label & Packaging Expo, are clearly shows which attract decision-makers, with the vast majority of visitors identifying as either business owners or senior management,” Harper reports, “and that’s reflected in the amount of business transacted at the expos, which regularly runs into the tens of millions.”
Finally – and perhaps most importantly for this year’s event – visitors value the chance to network with colleagues, competitors and business partners. ”In unprecedented times, we’ve all realised how much
we value – and miss – face-to-face connection. Here again, physical trade shows deliver in spades and, after a hiatus of more than two years, that opportunity to connect has never been more welcome,” Harper says.
