REFRIGERATION WHOLESALER BEIJER
Ref and compressor manufacturer, BITZER, have extended their ongoing partnership agreement. Both companies signed a con- tract extension for three years.
Beijer Ref will continue to sell the BITZER product range covering more than 430 Beijer Ref branches in over 35 markets, primarily lo- cated in the Asia-Pacific region and Africa as well as Europe.
BITZER chief sales and marketing officer, Gianni Parlanti, said the company values Beijer Ref’s outstanding sales expertise in these regions.
“Since the last contract extension in 2018, we’ve expanded our collabora- tion beyond Europe,” Par- lanti said.
“Our efforts have al-
ready begun to bear fruit
with respect to products
and, more importantly, digitalisation and lowering CO2 emissions – always with a fo- cus on the most energy efficient solution.”
At Beijer Ref, experienced refrigeration technicians ensure seamless sale of refriger- ation and air conditioning components. The wholesaler not only offers the BITZER prod- uct range, but also its expertise, via a whole host of sales channels.

PW POWER SYSTEMS HAS OFFICIALLY CHANGED ITS NAME TO MITSUBISHI POWER AERO.
ADOPTING THE MITSUBISHI Power brand is part of a larger effort to apply synergies that will benefit aero-derivative gas turbine customers.
The strength of the aero-derivative product and services portfolio will be enhanced by fur- ther leveraging the resources and technologies of Mitsubishi Power Aero’s parent company, ac- cording to Mitsubishi Power Aero president and CEO, Raul Pereda.
“We are utilising Mitsubishi Power supply chain assets around the world to support new equipment manufacturing as well as aftermar- ket services,” he said.
“Our engineering teams are collaborating to make our gas turbines more competitive, includ- ing applications with hydrogen fuel, remote monitoring, and TOMONITM artificial intelli- gence. The financial resources of the broader group also allow us to offer more flexible com- mercial solutions to our customers.”
As electrification expands and the demand for reliable energy grows globally, the role of aero-
derivative on demand power has become even more critical.
The socio-economic cost of power shortages is significant and rising, and power system com- plexity is increasing due to factors such as rapid expansion of renewables, extreme weather events, electrification of transportation, energy storage, and alternative fuels, including hydrogen.
Mitsubishi Power Americas president and CEO, Paul Browning, said on-demand power is a key component in how Mitsubishi Power brings total solutions to customers.
He said the FT8 MOBILEPAC unit offers fast, turnkey power on short notice, and the FT4000 SWIFTPAC gas turbine provides super-flexible power to customers who want to increase their use of intermittent renewable power, such as wind and solar.
“As the pace of decarbonisation of energy in- creases across the globe, aero-derivative power is crucial to ensuring resource adequacy,” Browning said.
“We’re excited about integrating our supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, marketing, sales, service, and financial capabilities with the strong products, services, and turnkey project capabilities of Mitsubishi Power Aero. Together, we will work with our customers to create a Change in Power.”
   Multi-functional unit cools, purifies
CHINESE OWNED SMART phone company Xiaomi has launched the MIJIA Fresh Air Condi- tioner, which incorporates air conditioning, fresh air fan and air purification functions.
There is a miniature health screen on the right side of the air conditioner, which among other things displays the concentration of carbon di- oxide in the room in real-time. The screen also shows the working temperature.
The company claims that the MIJIA Air Con- ditioner Premium Edition has more functions than a traditional AC unit. As an air conditioner, it boasts 1.5-hp first-class energy efficiency.
When it is used as a fresh air fan, the MIJIA Air
Conditioner Premium Edition uses a dual-hybrid turbine system with an air volume of up to 60m3/h. Finally, as an air purifier, it achieves 99.9 per cent sterilisation of the air in the entire house us-
ing UV-C deep ultraviolet sterilization.
MIJIA went on sale for the first time on 2 April. Xiaomi has 18,170 employees worldwide and
has been listed on the Hong Kong stock ex- change since 2018.
In 2014 Xiaomi announced its expansion outside China and set up headquarters in Singapore and an online mobile phone sales business in Australia.
After trading for a few months its Australian website was shut down. ✺
The unit features UV-C deep ultraviolet sterilisation.
