Italiya installs first A
Converting operation Italiya Graphics is installing the country’s
first HP PageWide C500 Corrugated Press, in order
to expand its offering of corrugated packaging and POS, and digital printing services.
The company says it has “bold ambitions to disrupt the printing space”, by delivering customisable, “offset-quality products with breakthrough time” to market.
The industrial-scale press will be the first C500 installed in Australia, and HP says, it will enable Italiya to provide brands in Australia, and across the region, with offset print quality, reduced waste and obsolescence, and turn work around quickly and reliably.

The C500 will help
Italiya to meet consumer- safety requirements of food-compliant, no plastic lamination packaging and sensitive products packaging, using water-based inks that are 100 per cent free of UV-reactive chemistries.
The C500, based on HP thermal inkjet technology, provides “offset print quality” for a wide range of corrugated packaging and display applications, on both coated and uncoated sheets. 21

With its water-based ink technology, the C500 also ensures that Italiya’s packaging solutions are “fully sustainable, recyclable and compostable”.

Onpack enhances digital with Screen L350UV SAI
National narrow web print provider, Onpack, has enhanced its digital
operations by upgrading to the the Screen L350UV SAI Inkjet Series automated label production system.
Sold and installed by Onpack’s long-term partner, Jet Technologies, the latest SAI Series is an upgrade from the Screen L350UV V1 and V1+, featuring improved colour reproduction and scalability to meet a diversity of industrial and market needs.
With a strong history in commercial printing, the Melbourne-based label printer’s recent venture into labels and packaging has since seen it service a variety of industries
– including food and beverage, FMCG, commercial, health and beauty, and sports and nutrition.
