STAND NUMBER: 770
ABB BUILDING SOLUTIONS transform the way we think about residential, commercial, and industrial spaces providing technologies that drive the performances for the buildings of tomorrow.
At the ARBS 2022 exhibition, ABB Australia will showcase EC Titanium motor that incorpo- rates ferrite assisted magnet in a synchronous reluctance rotor technology to achieve IE5+ ul- tra premium efficiency.
These motors have optional built-in drives or can be paired with stand-alone HVAC drives which can save energy by an average of 20 to 60 per cent. Variable speed control delivers the full benefit of running HVAC applications at partial load, allow- ing accurate control of temperature and humidity.
With ABB Ability Digital Powertrain, data from smart motors, drives, bearings, gears and pumps can be captured and analysed in a sin- gle cloud-based platform. It can identify poten- tial future failures and provide an opportunity
for predictive maintenance reducing opera- tional downtime.
Further reduction in utility bills can be achieved with the help of ABB’s Cylon smart building solu- tions that effectively manage HVAC and lighting through continuous monitoring and management of building energy usage with ABB Cylon energy management tools. ABB Australia will be exhibit-
ing with IPD, an industry leader helping to ensure your HVAC digital transformation is seamless and optimised to its fullest potential.

  Role of master systems integrator
TECHNOLOGY HAS LED to the creation of the Master Systems Integrator (MSI), a new role that will be examined on day one of the ARBS seminar.
This session will be presented by emeseye founder, Rob Huntington.
As the emergence of connected devices con- tinues to evolve, so does the role of the MSI.
The role of the MSI should be a continuous en- gagement cycle with involvement beginning
long before a building is constructed, and throughout the building’s life.
This role continues long after construction and commissioning. It involves strategy, design, platforms, IT and engagement models.
Huntington recently founded emeseye to meet the increasing demand for the role of the MSI. The role of the MSI is instrumental in driving integration outcomes of any project with an Integrated Communications Network
This seminar examines all facets of a building’s digital ecosystem.
(ICN) or Integrated Building Platform (IBP). Huntington has extensive experience with all facets of the building’s digital ecosystem. This includes a thorough understanding of the inter- operability of systems in a building and how they
interact with one another.
His experience and expertise extends beyond
OT and into IT to support the active hardware that allows all devices to communicate securely in a building.
   SMART CYBER SECURITY
Cyber security and the emergence of smart buildings is another important topic to be covered on day one of ARBS.
In this engaging and interactive presentation, LeadingEdgeCyber senior consultant, Mark Carey-Smith, will explain why cyber security should be a critical consideration for any professional involved with the design, construction and maintenance of smart buildings.
He will cover common mistakes, how to avoid them and examine notable incidents that have occurred to date.
