Advantages of electronic valves

THE SESSION WILL be presented by the global business development manager at Belimo Auto- mation AG, Andrew Brooks.
He will explain how electronic valves provide inherent energy and commissioning savings thanks to their design.
Brooks will examine how electronic valves achieve pressure independence, how this differs from the mechanical valves, and what control advantages it can provide.
“We look at how they can provide data to the BMS system to show where energy is being con- sumed whilst enabling significant energy sav- ings by actively managing delta T at the consum- er end and offering a comparison over passive plant-based delta T management,” he said.
Brooks will also cover additional place-
ments for electronic valves to provide even more advantages, including ongoing mainte- nance possibilities.
He will also explain how continuous commis- sioning can be a fiscal reality.
Brooks studied Business Information Systems in the UK, after a few post graduate jobs in IT. He now has over 15 years' experience working in the HVAC industry for various companies involved in the manufacture and design and control of HVAC systems.
He has extensive experience on and off site, with a multitude of technologies. These include, but not limited to, DDC Control systems, Air Handling Units, Fan Coil Units, Variable Air Vol- ume, Chilled Beams, Chilled Ceilings, Air, and Water Systems.
