HENSOLDT Australia
provides tactical advantage to small boats High performance radar technology
  NAVIES, border protection, law enforcement
and special operations groups often choose smaller patrol boats for littoral and riverine tasks. These specialty boats can’t be equipped with radars you may find on larger ships because they don’t meet small boat requirements for size, maneuverability, and stability. While operators still require surveillance and navigational benefits, they struggle to find a purpose-built radar for small craft applications. HENSOLDT Australia delivers radar solutions aligned to these needs.
For military purposes, a small boat has the same navigational needs as commercial craft but with
an additional surveillance requirement to detect threats. The Mk5 SharpEye Naval Navigation Radar starts where commercial radar stops. It is a purpose- built, special operations radar meeting the limited space and weight criteria. Importantly, the SharpEye Mk5 has stabilisation that provides accurate target data and information to crew in high sea states,
and is able to see small targets in adverse weather conditions. HENSOLDT can supply the radar solution with its own display or just as a sensor. It is supported with localised maintenance, training and spares; appropriate for a naval system required to operate world-wide, 24/7.
The Integrated Naval Bridge Systems (INBS)
has user interfaces designed around the bridge
crew, providing on demand access to essential information. INBS
can be fully integrated with the HENSOLDT Lyncea tactical system to provide an embedded naval surveillance and defence capability. This enables blended navigation and tactical operations including creation, maintenance, and monitoring of the tactical picture using on-board sensors (radar, optronic devices, sonar, electronic warfare, AIS, ADS-B) supported by Link 22 communications.
Complementing the company’s maritime technology, HENSOLDT Australia provides cross-domain solutions. Coastal territories protection can be enhanced using airborne solutions such as the Argos-II airborne observation system, the PrecISR small form factor airborne AESA and aerial surveillance system. Their Xpeller C-UAS is actively protecting critical assets and people around the world.

maritime. This is helping solve the dual need for clean energy solutions and reliable remote power operations, including local production of unique storage and supply systems.
With a broad range of technology solutions, HENSOLDT Australia is working with Australian service providers as both a technology partner and systems integrator. For maritime technology solutions, they have partnered with members of the Tasmanian Maritime Network to solve challenges faced by local operators. The company is pursuing a range of programs including SEA1000, JP9360, AIR5431, and multiple maritime capabilities, building Australian Industry Capability in Defence, Space, Clean Energy and Maritime.
