ASC was selected as the shipbuilder for the Hobart Class Air War- fare Destroyer (AWD) Program as part of the AWD Alliance. ASC also entered into a contract with prime contractor and designer, Luerrsen Australia, as shipbuilder for the first two Arafura Class Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) for the RAN.
