DEFENCE IN VICTORIA
Victoria sees $8.4 billion of defence spending annually, with 36,600 peo- ple working across 6,300 business working in the supply chan. With a focus on vehicles and manufacturing, Victoria has a vibrant defence com- munity from universities, Primes and SMEs along with uniformed and APS personnel.
The Victorian Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions is responsible for defence industry investment support and trade facilitation. It promotes Victorian de- fence capabilities to the Commonwealth, Australian and international prime con- tractors and the broader market.
