APCO released a report highlighting the progress towards the 2025 National Packaging Targets, identifying both areas of success and those requiring more attention.
Paper manufacturer Arjowiggins, along with distribution partner Spicers, launched Sylvicta – a groundbreaking sustainable alternative to plastics in packaging. The material is a translucent, functional bar- rier paper that is recyclable, compostable, marine degradable and made from renew- able raw materials.
Amcor launched a recyclable PVDC-free shrink bag for fresh and processed meat, poultry, and some cheeses. Pitched as an alternative to PVDC packaging, Amcor Eco-Tite R is a multilayer, mono-PE packaging material that maintains a high bar- rier to oxygen and water vapour.
