DAIKIN APPLIED AMER- ICAS president & CEO, Mike Schwartz, retired at the end of August.

president and CEO of Dai-
kin Applied Americas
(DAA), and a member of
Daikin Industries, Ltd., since September 2011.
When he joined, he was charged with trans- forming a complacent organisation into a high performing contender in the market- place. And since 2011, he has met that chal- lenge with resounding success.
Not only did he increase manufacturing capacity by 75 per cent, he doubled the employee base throughout North, Central and South America.
Schwartz tripled revenue from 2011 to 2022. This success was recognised with a position on the board of parent company, Daikin Industries, Ltd., in 2019.

Door closes on
Russian trade
DANFOSS HAS SIGNED an agreement to divest the business in Russia and Belarus to the local management.
With the closing of the transaction, Danfoss will no longer operate in Russia and Belarus.
Due to the tragic war in Ukraine, Danfoss decided to exit Russia and Belarus on 1 April, 2022.
Danfoss signed an agreement to divest its business to local management late July. Clos- ing of the transaction is expected in Septem- ber 2022.
Notwithstanding entering into the agree- ment to divest all operations in Russia and Belarus, Danfoss continues to monitor the situation closely and to act in full compliance with all sanctions as they develop. ✺
  A-GAS HAS ACQUIRED UNITED STATES REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND RECLAMATION COMPANY CERTIFIED REFRIGERANT SERVICES (CRS).
CRS IS A leading EPA Certified reclaimer and provides environmental solutions for the recov- ery and reclamation of refrigerants to customers throughout the state of Florida. It has a long- standing and leading presence in the market with trusted partners and customers.
Group CEO at A-Gas, Jack Govers, said this acquisition demonstrates the company’s ongo- ing commitment to the effective lifecycle man- agement of refrigerants which is a critical part
of the circular economy and building a sustain- able future.
CSR founder and CEO, Rick Roland, and his team will become part of the A-Gas business.
Roland said joining A-Gas is a fantastic new home for the CSR business.
“With its global resources and expertise in recovery and reclamation, safety and operations, the team I’ve built will continue to grow and develop,” he said.
“Together, we will be better positioned to serve the vital businesses we’ve supported over the years.”
This is the tenth acquisition by A-Gas since the investment by private equity firm KKR in 2017. Since then A-Gas has made several acquisitions in the US as well as continued expansion globally with acquisitions of businesses across Asia, Europe, and Australia.
    JOHNSON CONTROLS HAS confirmed that 38-year company veteran Jeff Williams has retired and a global search is underway for his successor.
Williams' replacement will inherit a business group generating more than a third of Johnson Controls approximately $US24B annual revenues including product development and research & development.
Williams started at Johnson Controls in 1984 as a sales account manager and spent more than 30 years in its automotive business before taking over as leader of its global products business in 2019. He was the co-author of the Johnson Con- trols Manufacturing Systems operating system
that continues to guide the company’s global operations today.

said Williams has been a phenomenal member of the executive leadership team combining an unwavering will to win with faultless integrity.
“We thank him for his years of service, and he leaves the Global Products business in fantastic shape, with an amazing opportunity for a new leader to come in and drive forward,” Oliver said.
