WELCOME TO FEBRUARY AND THE START OF ANOTHER BUSY YEAR.
Sandra Rossi – Editor
IT’S HARD TO believe the year has only just begun with all the announcements we have seen in recent weeks.
The pace has been relentless for those in the business of HVACR, and there are no signs of a slowdown.
In the last couple of weeks Daikin has acquired US company, Venstar, in a deal worth more than $US100 million.
Fujitsu is seeking to divest its one billion stake in air conditioning while Mitsubishi Electric Corporation will invest some $US222.5 million in a new factory producing air conditioners and compressors in India.
HVACR is a growing business just ask Carrier shareholders who will see a 23 per cent increase on their quarterly dividend which is payable this month.
Worldwide it is clear we are gearing up for another transformational year and Australia’s HVACR industry has been busy as well setting a far reaching agenda for 2023.
Late last year CCN assembled a roundtable of experts to address a long list of critical issues that will drive debate in coming months.
An edited version of the roundtable has been published in these pages, but a full version is available online. CCN will publish a four part video series throughout the month of February covering all of the topics raised at the roundta- ble. We would love to get your feedback.
Another exciting event taking place this month is NextGen 2023, another great example of a thriv- ing and evolving industry.
If you have an apprentice worthy of recognition please make sure they are nominated at www. climatecontrolnews.com.au/nextgen ✺
