Next generation zone control for ducted systems
Measure air quality using laser technology.
PANASONIC HAS LAUNCHED the next gen- eration in zone control air conditioning, allow- ing access to your ducted air conditioning any- time, anywhere from your smart devices.
With built-in Wi-Fi, the CONEX Zone Control- ler can be wall-mounted in one or several loca- tions in a modern household environment, con- necting directly to a ducted system.
Consumers can simply use the wired remote control or download Panasonic’s Comfort Cloud App to their smart device to personalise and con- trol various air settings at the touch of a button.
This latest innovation from Panasonic allows up to eight zones in the home to be managed in- dividually, offering tailored comfort to meet the specific needs of each family member.
Panasonic Australia’s product marketing manager for air conditioning, Jack Tey, said COVID-19 has changed the way Australians live, with people spending more time at home whether working, studying, entertaining, relax- ing or exercising.
He said the new CONEX Zone Controller sup- ports this new flexible lifestyle by making it eas- ier than ever to adjust air settings across multi- ple zones to suit different needs at different times of the day or week.“
“In fact, the CONEX Zone Controller offers dai- ly and weekly timers that can be set up for each zone, providing greater comfort from a regulated temperature as soon as you arrive home,” Tey said.
“The timers also help reduce household energy consumption, which we know is important for Australian families. By setting a timer, you can have the air conditioning turn off when you leave the house and turn on as you return home, rather than leave it running while you’re out.”
Another new feature is the Smart E Box which is installed inside the ceiling and is connected to one or multiple Damper kits – a technology which enables or restricts airflow to specific ar- eas of the house via the damper blade.
These blade adjustments (opening and closing in ten per cent increment ) help to control room temperatures and save electricity.
Users can switch the temperature in target- ed zones to make the whole family comforta- ble, as one room can be warmed or cooled without impacting the rest of the household’s air settings.
Panasonic’s revolutionary nanoe X technology can be controlled via the CONEX Zone Control- ler and Comfort Cloud App, allowing users to turn this function on and purify their home’s air even when away from the home.
“Panasonic’s nanoe X technology inhibits in- door pollutants and odours in the air and on sur- faces through the release of nano-sized, atom- ised water particles,” Tey said:
“At Panasonic, we aim to provide heating, cooling, and air purifying solutions that allow for convenience and comfort. Our CONEX Zone Controller is the ultimate solution, giving users complete control of their ducted air conditioning and settings from their smart devices.”
The CONEX Zone Controller is available through Panasonic Air Conditioning distribu- tors (excluding VIC/TAS) or Panasonic Air Con- ditioning dealers (VIC/TAS only) and requires a specialist installer to install this system.

Detect
particulate
matter
THE SERIES PMI Particulate Matter Trans- mitter is designed to measure indoor air qual- ity by detecting particulate matter in an office environment or HVAC duct.
Using laser scattering technology, the Series PMI can measure particles as small as 0.3 μm, making it an essential component of any in- door air quality monitoring system.
“USING LASER SCATTERING TECHNOLOGY, THE PMI CAN MEASURE EXTREMELY SMALL PARTICLES.”
The optional relay combined with the set- table alarm and control parameters allow the Series PMI to be a stand-alone controller.
Product applications include educational institutions, healthcare facilities, corporate offices, hotels/restaurants, air purifiers.
