CAPABILITIES: TAE Aerospace is Australia’s most capable gas tur- bine engine MRO, fully supported by a comprehensive engineering, repair and manufacturing capability that is second to none in the re- gion. We currently provide Total Logistics Support (TLS) for the RAAF’s General Electric F404 and F414 engines as fitted to the Hor- net and Super Hornet fleet, F404 MRO support for the RMAF F/A18 C/D fleet, TLS for the Army’s Honeywell AGT1500 gas turbines fitted to the Abrams Main Battle Tank, and have been assigned F135 MRO&U responsibilities for the Asia Pacific region in support of the Joint Strike Fighter. We also provide MRO support for the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engine, are a Honeywell authorised overhaul service centre for the TPE331 engine, a GE Aviation H80/ M601 en- gine Designated Repair Centre and PW Power Systems (formerly Hamilton Sunstrand) approved APS 500, APS 1000, T-62T-40-1 and T-62T-2B Auxiliary Power Unit overhaul venue. Our overhaul capabil- ity for turbine engines is fully supported by in-house fleet manage- ment, engineering, configuration management, condition monitoring systems, materials support and a broad range of repair capabilities including welding, precision machining, heat treatment, NDT, bear- ing repair and overhaul, fuel component repair and overhaul, preci- sion balancing, and computer controlled engine testing capabilities.
