AUSTRALIAN BUSINESS DEFENCE recognises that Australia needs an innovative, vibrant and sustainable defence in- dustry – aligned to strategic requirements and able to sub- stantially contribute to national economic activity.
Australian Business Defence is a national member or- ganisation. We provide a range of services to support en- try into and business with the Australian defence market. Services are tailored to meet the needs of companies of all sizes, engaged in defence-related activity across all sectors.
We do this through
• Guidance and links to areas within the defence envi-
ronment that may be of interest to defence industry
companies
• Advocacy to state and federal governments to represent
industry issues and opportunities, and to seek initiatives to create a stable landscape in which to do business
• A range of services to support entry into and business with the Australian defence market.
• A range of products, services and offering to support strong business growth
• The weekly tender bulletin
• A program of events
• Engagement with ministers and agencies

AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE ALLIANCE (ADA)
THE AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE ALLIANCE (ADA) is a collabora- tive partnership between the Australian Defence Alliance – Victoria, the Defence Teaming Centre in SA, and the Henderson Alliance in WA representing 1,100+ dual-use and defence SMEs nationally, providing businesses with a multitude of opportunities to flourish and succeed in dual- use and defence industry – domestically and globally.
Through the ADA, Australian SMEs now have a profes- sionally-led policy, advocacy, and strategic governance in- dustry body standing alongside them as they go about navi- gating the complexities of global supply chains. Members gain enhanced businesses opportunities through access to State and Commonwealth Governments, Global Primes, as well as decades of experienced policy, regulatory, compli- ance and strategic governance subject matter expertise.
Operating at both tactical (education, training, upskill- ing, networking, global supply chain promotion and ca- pability development) and strategic levels (advising on business modelling, capacity building initiatives, strategic partnering, advocacy, policy development, government sub- missions, international collaborations), the ADA was estab- lished to provide SMEs with the agility and dynamic sup- port required to succeed thrive in global defence markets.
