Among the array of developments was the company’s new 120 metres per minute V12 digital label press. The 12-colour press is aimed at a decent chunk of the market currently produced by flexo, for print runs of between two and seven kilometres. Its print engine has six print stations putting ink onto a blanket, with each station capable of putting two colours down. The technology developed for the V12 is certain to be leveraged into other HP printers.
Following its design and develop- ment in Israel, HP Indigo will send its new V12 digital label press to beta testing in September, with launch expected here at the end of 2023. Ten V12 presses will be placed into beta print businesses in Europe and the US, with HP then taking around 12 months to test various applications and collate data. When the V12 is released onto the market it is expected to replace older flexo presses in cus- tomers’ plants. The 17-metre long V12 press is a sizeable machine, full of the latest electronic and chemical engi- neering. It will be able to be extended with non-stop feed and delivery, which HP is working with ABG to develop. It will be able to print in up to 12 colours, the company saying

as well as commercial presses.
The company is now one of the big- gest manufacturing businesses in Israel, and one of the biggest capital
