Why Work With a REALTOR®?
Whether you’re buying or selling a home, don’t work with just any licensed real estate agent or broker, work with a REATOR®. In Massachusetts, less than one-third of all licensed real estate agents have earned the right to use the term REALTOR®.
Be sure to ask your agent... “Are you a REALTOR®?”
When selecting an agent or broker, consider these advantages:
• REALTORS® must adhere to a strict national Code of Ethics that hold them to higher standards of practice than those required under state law.
• REALTORS® have exclusive access to over one dozen professional designation and certification programs which offer specialized training to boost an agent’s industry knowledge and business skills. More than one-third of all REALTORS® hold at least one professional designation.
• REALTORS® have access to the most accurate housing market data and proprietary information from the REALTORS® Property Resource database and a staff of nationally-recognized economists. This enables them to perform their roles effectively and efficiently to assist their clients.
• REALTORS® distinguish themselves from other licensees in their level of commitment to the profession. The typical REALTOR® has 10 years of industry experience works full-time in real estate and owns a home. This makes them better informed and more experienced in the fundamentals of homeownership and buying, selling, and leasing real property.
