The two very best friends on the island are Mayor Tokoni and Professor Poto.
Mr Tokoni is the elected Mayor of the island, he is a practical, organised and sensible bird, good at nest building and catching worms and always helps any bird in need.
He wears the Mayor’s Golden Feather crown with pride.
His friend Professor Poto, is the oldest bird on the island.
Not practical or sensible and easily flustered, he relies on the Mayor for advice. Renowned for his love of birdsong, he gathered together all the songs
of every bird on the island and wrote them down in his note book.
Professor Poto’s knowledge of music is admired by all.
