making memories and enjoying lots of great lessons at Georgian Peaks. Once again, we have a full complement of qualified Staff ready to take you and your family out for weekly lessons.
NEW to the Staff roster this year is Dave Bader (CSIA Level 4 and CSCF Level 3). Dave has been working in the area for many years and has decided to join The Peaks this year. Dave will be working in the Adult Learn to Race program on Saturday mornings. Also joining the Adult Program this year will be Martha Lee (Marpole). Martha is a Level 3 CSIA and Level 3 CSCF. She will be working with the adults on Saturday and Sunday mornings as well. Both Dave and Martha will be available for private lessons in the afternoons. Watch for these two new arrivals, and feel free to welcome them both to the Club. Together they will add some much needed credibility to our adult program.
NEW this year for adults on Saturday afternoons is Slalom gate training, which will run from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Rampage. This is a great opportunity for all Adult House League participants to get some extra gate training in a race environment.
For adults we are planning a Christmas Race Camp (Dec. 27th to 29th) plus the nine-week instructional and eight- week learn-to-race programs. In an effort to better serve adult Member’s needs, we are offering you the ability to customize your own group lessons. Select your own group and a time that suits everyone and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs. Please see me for details.
Once again, we will be offering the Cubs program for our 2-year olds, this is a one or two day combination program, which includes time on snow as well as time in the Nursery. Please book early so we can plan appropriately for these one-on-one, specialized lessons.
This year the Children’s Program Parent Meeting will be held on Sunday, Jan 6th, upstairs in the Alpine Centre at 10:00 a.m. All key personnel will be on hand to answer questions and address concerns during this information session. Watch the website for reminders of this very important and informative meeting.
The Children’s Snow Bear (3 & 4 year old) and Polar Bear (5 & 6 year old) Programs will run as usual for Christmas, New Year’s, 9-weeks and Spring Camps. We will also continue with our 6 year old Friday Training. This is a good opportunity for our advanced athletes to get some

you are looking forward to another great season of
Be A Peaks Lift Buddy This Season
We are very fortunate to have so many young families in our Club. Along with the vibrant atmosphere and smiles comes a very healthy demographic that ensures longer term sustainability for The Peaks.
With so many little ones learning how to ski and ride, loading lifts can be a challenge for Coaches, Instructors and Students. Without the ideal ratio of adults to children, lift slow downs or stops can result and that frustrates everyone.
We have had great success with the Peaks Lift Buddy program and will be continuing it again this season. Each Lift Buddy will be identified with a small sticker on their badge. The presence of this sticker will let our Coaches and Instructors know that you are able and willing to help load a Student on a lift. Our lift system will be much more efficient and our kids will have more fun and be safer as a result. When you pick up your badge this year we will ask if you would like to become a Lift Buddy.
