University Placement Program Highlights
Spring to departure:
• Guidance package and private consultation with Director of University Guidance to discuss course selection and post-secondary interests
Orientation trip and throughout the fall semester:
• Discussions about early admission, study for AP exams, American and European university process
• Fine-tune course selection and one-on-one meetings to discuss university plans
• Attend Council of International Schools university fair in Zurich and Geneva • Parent-teacher meetings
• SAT and ACT college readiness assessment tests. NJC is an o cial

November- December
• University applications are done with the support of the Director of University Guidance
End of  rst semester

Mid- April to June
• Mid-semester grades are forwarded to universities
• University o ers are reviewed
• Consultation with the Director of University Guidance in navigating choices
• First semester marks are forwarded to universities. Submission of all
Advanced Placement (AP) exams- Students at Neuchâtel Junior College are able to prepare for and take Advanced Placement (AP) examinations. In recent years, NJC students have earned results up to 20 percentage points higher than the global average.
Leadership roles- NJC o ers various leadership roles such as the Foyer Council (Student council), Model United Nations and other clubs and team opportunities
Neuchâtel Junior College International Diploma
The diploma requires the completion of six courses at the Grade 12 or AP level. Students must also achieve an academic average of 75% and a commitment to the Junior College’s philosophy of education as evidenced by active involvement in extracurricular activities, improvement in French language skills, increased cultural sensitivity and global awareness.
