 "The Woods"
T
Hiking and sleeping among these giants was one of the most peaceful and humbling experiences of my life. They have called this planet home much, much longer than I have. Still standing tall, they have scars from fires and other natural erosions. Without saying a word, they clearly said to me "You are small in the big picture of things, yet our Creator sees you and is near."
I've always felt at home in the woods. It's where God reminds me that my small life is still a part of His big plan.
hese photographs are of my husband, David, in Kings Canyon National Forest. We hiked to what is one of the most breathtaking spots we have ever pitched our tent -- under several ancient, Giant Sequoia trees.
