                              A home for Stella
   “Stella,”
I reply. “Stella, my new puppy who has found her home.”
“Keesha, what about this one?” my mom says as we look at the puppies at a pet shop. The puppy is a chocolate lab whose eyes are big and brown, and her feet are too big for her body. She stumbles a little when she walks, and when I put my hand in her cage she licked it with her wet, pink tongue. I immediately love her and know that I want her. “I will take her,” I say to my mom. While mom tells the pet shop owner that I want her I take her out of the cage and hold her in my arms, I kiss her at the top of her head. I feel the soft, fluffy, brown fur on my lips. “This is what you will need to take care of her,” the pet shop owner says while handing me a bunny dog toy, water bowls, and a big bag of dog treats. “Thank you, I will make sure to take very good care of her,” I say to him smiling with my new puppy in my arms. Then, my mom and I walk out of the pet shop and to the car. When we get there my puppy wiggles out of my arms, so I let her down. She runs around the house super fast, which I think is really cute. After she gets tired she lays on the floor and then runs around the house again. After she is done playing she sits on my lap. “What are you going to name her?” My mom says to me. “Stella,” I reply. “Stella, my new puppy who has found her home.”
