It was another great night for Alessi and his team as they scored their third top ten of the season in St. Louis. Mike is currently tied for 11th in the standings with 105 points with Davi Millsaps who is injured. Also just 9 points behind Jake Weimer who is currently holding down the final top 10 position in the series. The Motoconcepts Smartop rider has been steadily improving himself throughout
the whole 2016 season and he kept the ball rolling in St. Louis.
Mike started the night off with a very convincing win in his heat race over the likes of Stewart, Reed, Canard, Grant, Musquin and more. Unfortunately Mike has not been able to get the greatest starts in the main event like he does in the heat races. Mike started 8th in the main event and eventually got pushed back to 12th by lap 14. The #800 dug deep in the closing stages of the race, putting his training to the test and was able to get himself a couple positions to get back into to top 10 by the finish.
