Geico Honda backed Jordan Smith comes into
Oakland with a 14th in practice. Not bad con- sidering this is his second year. In his heat he climbed up on the podium and got himself a well deserved 3rd place... along with a descent gate pick for the main. In the main he got a solid 6th place start before chasing his way up to 4th. After crashing at the end of a corner he was put back to a disappointing 11th and finished 11th. He is definitely fast enough to run with the big dogs he just needs his consistency.
