Chase had an average qualifying effort this Saturday in Oakland, but when the gate dropped for 250 Heat 1, he was ready. An awesome jump off the gate looked to be his way straight to the Main but when he was forced wide in the first turn it didn’t turn out as planned. Chase was able to climb back to 10th barely missing qualifying position. When the LCQ began it was all or nothing. Chase came out with a good start running 3rd until
a small mistake in a rhythm section let two other riders slip by. Chase tracked them back down and was one wheel behind 4th place when they crossed the finish line. Look for
Chase Marquier to redeem himself next week in Arizona.
