RYAN DUNGEY
If you asked a random person on the street to name 10 sports, motocross/supercross would most likely not get mentioned. Although this is heart breaking to us die heart fans, one man is certainly making a difference. That man
is Ryan Dungey. Winning the 450 Monster Energy SX title along with the 450 AMA National MX title, 2015 seemed to be a dream year for Ryan. But it didn’t stop there. Ryan became the first MX/SX rider to win an ESPY award for Best Action Sports Male Athlete. In addition
to this, he also became the first MX/SX rider
to be featured on the Wheaties cereal box. Wheaties cereal claims to be the “breakfast of champions” and that’s exactly what Ryan is. Whether he is your favorite rider or not, Ryan
is currently the sports greatest ambassador and is playing a massive role in bringing our sport into the mainstream spotlight. Despite the long list of accomplishments in 2015, it doesn’t look like The Dunge is slowing down anytime soon. The champ started off the 2016 season just as expected, winning. Already holding the red plate just two rounds in, this championship could be over before we know
it. Besides having tremendous speed (which is constantly overlooked) Ryan has the ability to stay cool calm and collected during the heat of battle. This combination of speed, consistency and patience is frankly unbeatable. Barring
any catastrophic events, Ryan Dungey is the heavy favorite for the 2016 Monster Energy SX Championhip.
