Millsaps Training Facility houses some of the most talented riders in the country. With that said, Jordon Smith has called MTF home for quite some
time. After absolutely killing it before leaving the amateur ranks, Smith made a promising leap into the big leagues. Several years filled with B and A class wins had Jordon on top of the world and prepared to take on the serious fight known as the AMA Supercross 250 class. After narrowly missing out on the podium at Indianapolis early in his professional career, Smith has known he has what it takes to run at the front of the pack. With a solid amount of competition under his belt and a better understanding on what it takes to lead the way, Smith is coming out swinging in 2016. Breaking out a new number for the year, fans can expect Smitty to be dawning the big #39 as he blasts his way around the track at a stadium near you!
What went Down
Qualified 9th... Ended the night with a 5th in the main.
Right behind came teammate Jordon Smith, who was running third before a crash dropped him to fifth. “I think it was lap seven, I tipped over coming out of one of the corners,” said Smith, a second year pro from North Carolina. “I was having a good race, my GEICO Honda is really fast and I got a good start. It was one of the first times I’ve ever been up front in a supercross. Last year [rookie pro season] I got a fourth but it was a come-from-behind race, so this time it was good to run at the front of the pack. I just need to get used to it. I can definitely take some positives from it.”
