Not one to worry about the uncontrollable or superstition, Jessy Nelson comes screaming into the 2016 season dawning
a new number, the bold #13. The traditionally unlucky number does not phase the blazing fast Troy Lee Designs pilot as he runs it with pride. Never one to complain or worry without it’s due, Nelson makes the best of virtually every situation he is dealt. Since making the leap to professional competition, it has been an amazingly impressive road. Nelson immediately began banging bars with the best in the business, chalking himself up as one of the many 250 class heavy weights ready to leave with the title belt. In an edgy move, the crew decided last minute that Nel- son was ready for the big leagues and would be competing in the entire 2012 outdoor
tour. Known early on for his great starting ability, Nelson’s decision to leap into the big leagues has paid off in dividends earning him the Rookie of the Year in his entry season. Jessy continued to fight and mix it up with the elite 250 riders for the next several seasons, finally stealing a moto win in Indiana at the Ironman National. The Templeton, Califor- nia native is always impressive on the bike, possessing one of the most fluid and speedy styles in the 250 game right now. With the right ingredients and a touch of luck (which he thinks will come from the traditionally unlucky number) Nelson has the markings to be every bit of a title threat in 2016.
